I guess this guy http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/05/alex-da-silva-celebrity-c_n_183227.html just wanted to teach them the "pole dance" as well. I always had a suspicion that anyone associated with a reality show also had the propensity to be a rapist, as well.

I saw the original, delightfully wacky production of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" on Broadway (actually, a bit off Broadway), starring Paul Provenza (Google him - a seriously underrated comedian) so, nayh-nayh to all of you! :)

Oh, and kudos to those parents that are making the effort to keep creative, and, "ooh - scary", "different" points of view and thoughts out of their children's education processes. Wouldn't want the kiddies thinking for themselves. They might learn just enough to realize that their parents, and their parents religion and political view are, in the words of St. George Carlin, "Full of shit".

Choadwank Screws the Poor

Ahhh, the gov is living in a house that one of his campaign contributors is "renting" to him, even though they were unable to sell the home for a year before the state of Texas began paying $9,900.00 per month in October 2008 for Perry to live in while the gov's mansion is renovated, and, gasp, some unknown "anarchist", i.e. Perry staff member, firebombs the place while the state trooper that is supposed to be guarding the construction site is AWOL, thus conveniently extending the rental of said house by the taxpayers of Tx for at least another year, and THIS GUY rejects the "stim" unemployment funding, knowing full well that the repuke state ledge, and he himself, have been underfunding the Tx unemployment trust fund FOR YEARS, and by hundreds of millions of dollars. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jsgUhrz2efKJsA0zLOxrK5B0cY-wD96SRUKO4 This guy is a turd with a nice haircut. I would not piss on him if his pant leg was on fire.

"Texas would also have to expand eligibility to include thousands of low-wage workers. Lawmakers have said the change would help part-time employees like single mothers, college students and senior citizens.
Perry said the requirements attached to the federal stimulus money would require a change in the state's definition of unemployment by expanding it to include part-time employees. He said such an expansion would counteract the package's objective of job creation by leading companies to limit hiring and raise prices.
The governor's decision comes despite warnings from Texas Workforce Commission Chairman Tom Pauken that the state's unemployment compensation trust fund could be operating at a deficit by October. Pauken told lawmakers recently that insolvency might not be not far behind."

The Haymarket Incident

This tale shows how effective the capitalists have been in depriving the workers of their rights, and a stake in the riches this country has to offer. Is the "collapse" of the auto industry yet another way to "restructure" that last bastion of a union workforce into a non-union format? I wish the people of today would have the courage, patriotism and passion of personal conviction to stand up to the powers of greed and self-interest that the brave "anarchists and socialists" had back then.

"That the eight were on trial for their anarchist beliefs and trade union activities was made clear from the outset. The trial closed as it had opened, as was witnessed by the final words of Attorney Grinnell's summation speech to the jury. "Law is on trial. Anarchy is on trial. These men have been selected, picked out by the Grand Jury, and indicted because they were leaders. There are no more guilty than the thousands who follow them. Gentlemen of the jury; convict these men, make examples of them, hang them and you save our institutions, our society."
On August 19th seven of the defendants were sentenced to death, and Neebe to 15 years in prison. After a massive international campaign for their release, the state 'compromised' and commuted the sentences of Schwab and Fielden to life imprisonment. Lingg cheated the hangman by committing suicide in his cell the day before the executions. On November 11th 1887 Parsons, Engel, Spies and Fischer were hanged."

Forgive Me Fadder, For I'm a NAZI

A senior Vatican cleric has defended the excommunication of the mother and doctors of a nine-year-old girl who had an abortion in Brazil after being raped.
Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, head of the Catholic church's Congregation for Bishops, told the daily La Stampa on Saturday that the twins the girl had been carrying had a right to live.
"It is a sad case but the real problem is that the twins conceived were two innocent persons, who had the right to live and could not be eliminated," he said.

The NAZI pope is keepin' them in line. Ya' gotta' give them credit for sticking with their "beliefs". Nice to see them trying to appeal to main stream people. They are no better than the Mullahs.

It's Sad

You know it is tough times when the CNN iReporters have to sell of their Starwars Stormtrooper costumes, as well as "Nazgul Ringwraith costume from Lord of the Rings complete with full steel armor". http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-224401 There is still an air of geekly pomposity in this guy's "story": "The last time I wore it was in the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena when I marched with George Lucas." He probably lost his job and had to sell this shit off because he WOULD NOT STOP FUCKING TALKING ABOUT HIS STARWARS STORMTROOPER COSTUME, AND HIS FUCKING NAZGUL RINGWRAITH SHIT AT WORK!

Better or Worse

I have been trying to decide, in these trying times, if it is better to have never been that rich, so the "hard times" seem like the "all the times", they just never get that much better, or is hitting the economic jackpot, then dropping off to the Madoff induced poverty of WalMart greeter, and dreaming of the central park east Robber-Baron apartment, the servants and the snotty better than attitude. The bitterness seems more bitter to have had, and then not to have at all. I guess it is the less is more, until you get more, then more becomes more than less could ever hope to be.
