50K For Rent?

The state of Texas has paid almost $50,000.00 ($9,990.00 per month since Oct, 2007) in rent for Gov. Goodhair to live in a cheesy McMansion, while they renovate the Governor's mansion, that was torched by a person unknown while the state trooper supposed to be guarding the renovation site was AWOL.
"The home is being leased from Murell Campbell through his daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Guy Grace. Grace has contributed $2,500 a year to Perry's campaign every year since 2005, but Black said Perry has not met Grace." Can you say "shell corporation"?
The rental sat unsold for a year, originally were going to live there for a year, however with the fire I am sure it will be for quite awhile longer.

Douche, Liar

Without a Paddle

Seems like Laura, soon to become a household name, has lied to the feds, with prejudice.

"Laura Pendergest-Holt, the third-ranking executive of the Houston-based Stanford Financial Group, was taken into custody by FBI agents and charged with obstruction of a government proceeding.
The Justice Department late Thursday said Pendergest-Holt will appear before a federal magistrate in Houston Friday.
The complaint alleges Pendergest-Holt made "several affirmative misrepresentations" to SEC investigators seeking information on what she knew about a scheme to defraud investors and account-holders of billions of dollars in deposits.
The complaint says the executive failed to tell the truth on several occasions during the course of the investigation."

One of the Good Guys

This is a cool story. Thus the adage that "They never print the good stories". There should be one good story per day, mandatory.

I hope he loves his retirement.

Eat This Prayer

This dickweed turns down supplemental federal dollars for increases and extensions in jobless benefits, and will pray for one of his constituents who is jobless.

Shocked

The "Shock Doctrine" in practice, a sad result of the privatization of formerly governmental duties handed over to for-profit groups, usually closely tied to bribes, I mean campaign contributions, given to our "representatives".
